New York’s Soho has once again been given a fashionable facelift by Gucci, which has updated its 2,500-square-foot Art Wall with a new mural.
Gucci NYCDesigned by Angelica Hicks (above) as part of a collaborative t-shirt project with the fashion house, the illustration is a playful take on white- and blue-collar crime. Known for her satirical fashion drawings, Hicks’ 11 designs will be released in a limited, numbered run similar to art prints.

Titled ‘Criminal Couture’, the mural replaces the wall’s previous work by San Francisco-based illustrator, Jayde Fish (above). Launched in February to coincide with New York Fashion Week, Fish’s ‘The Hermit’ showed a woman living in a hot air balloon looking out through a telescope.

The large-scale mural, found on Lafayette Street between Prince and Spring, will continue to be updated throughout the year with other collaborators – but if you can’t make it over to NYC, Gucci have you covered in Europe too; Hick’s distinctive work can also be found on Largo La Foppa, in Milan’s colourful pedestrian district of Corso Garibaldi (above).
