Ahead of this year’s Art Brussels, a young photography collective Bence Bakker, Max Pinckers and Jeroen Lambertyn, known as OTTOMURA, has been commissioned to conceive the fair’s creative campaign. The Belgian trio turned the fair’s new venue Tour & Taxis, a turn of the 20th century former customs house, into an atmospheric, ethereal environment covered in colouful smoke.

In the empty space of the industrial building, the artists engaged in a series of in-situ experiments with coloured smoke, creating misty whiffs of pink, yellow and blue haze hanging around the vacant corridors and rooms, permeating the site’s large, light-filled chambers. The sequence of clouds add a sense of intrigue and wonderment to the soon-to-be populated space, while simultaneously highlighting the venue’s unique architectural features.
