In the story of fashion-tech partnerships, that of Apple with Hermès, home of the Birkin bag, is the most glamorous couple to date. The tech heavyweight is looking to go from geek to chic with the collaboration with fashion powerhouse Hermès to launch Apple Watch Hermès, which will go on sale 5 October.

The collaboration sees Apple Watches in stainless steel and fine crafted leather bands in distinctive styles, including the single tour, double tour and cuff, whilst respecting the design and functionality of the watch.

Apple’s Chief Design Officer Jonathan Ive said of the partnership:

“Apple and Hermès make very different products, but they reflect the deep appreciation of quality design, both companies are motivated by a sincere pursuit of excellence and the desire to create something that is not compromised. Apple Watch Hermès is a true testament to that belief.”
