Waterloo is the UK’s busiest railway station and is used by thousands of people to make their way home every day, but this weekend, it was transformed to raise awareness for those who want to go home, but can’t. The Amnesty International campaign Help Get Them Home saw the world’s largest departure board at the station transformed to display the names of seven prisoners of conscience from all over the world – asking commuters’ to text a donation to help to free them. The Amnesty departure boards showed the date and time of their departure as when they were forcibly taken.
