Crowd-funding platforms such as Kickstarter have allowed creatives to bring their ideas to life with the help of the wider public and, despite the recent parody Kickstopper campaign trying to crush these hopes and dreams; it remains a perfect way to get light bulb moments to market. The fantastically talented London-based female-focused production company, MyLovely Productions, is using this model to help bring to life Inside/Out – a web series that explores female mental health issues.

Inside/Out sees the fictional lives of four young women, all coming to terms with and managing different mental health issues, told through three separate 12 minute webisodes. The lead cast – all of whom are studying for their Masters at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama – have chosen the subject matter to tackle the often taboo subject of mental health face on with a powerful, provocative and insightful script that allows the audience to live vicariously through the characters everyday trials and tribulations.

Recent TV shows, such as My Mad Fat Diary on Channel 4, have helped to break down the barriers to issues that great charities like Mind have been campaigning on for years. Inside/Out is taking it one stage further with Shiree Adkins, Lauren Dalton, Noor Lawson and Jessica Lynn tackling Münchausen syndrome, dissociative identity disorder, single parent post-natal depression and substance addiction amongst a celebrity lifestyle through theatre.

This uber talented team need help to make this idea come to fruition, be generous and help them here.
