London-based artists Jake and Dinos Chapman present their first ever solo exhibition ‘Chicken’ in Ukraine at the PinchukArtCentre in Kiev. The show includes the artists’ latest piece ‘The Sum of all Evil’, four miniature landscape dioramas charting significant historical events with their typical subversive humour.

The works play to the central themes of the Holocaust, violence and death and include the Babi Yar discovery in 1941, the Ukrainian mass grave where 30,000 Jews were executed by the Nazis in just two days. Fusing sensitive events with mass-branding and symbols of fast food chain, McDonald’s, the Chapman brothers are seen to be amplifying the criticism of the underlying hypocrisy connected with an era of globalisation with their typically raw, dry wit.
