Richard Jackson – Bad Dog

Bad Dog by artist Richard Jackson is a temporary sculpture installed at the Orange County Museum of Art. The 28-foot-high giant black labrador is part of the Richard Jackson: Ain’t Painting a Pain exhibition, the first retrospective devoted to the works of the Sierra Madre, Californina-based artist. It has one of its hind legs cocked to spray yellow paint on the side to the side of the building. Richard Jackson said of the piece, “We’ll see how long it lasts. I don’t think it’s such a big deal, but you never know how people will react, sometimes people feel they should protect their children from such things, then the kids go home and watch ‘South Park.’”
