Light Emitting Dudes – LED Freerunning
Light Emitting Dudes – a.k.a. Jason Paul, Shaun Wood and Anan Anwar from Frankfurt, Sydney and Bangkok respectively – are a team of freerunners, geared up from head-to-toe in a Tron-style suit with LED lights. The acrobatic trio were let loose on the streets of the bustling Thai metropolis of Bangkok at night. With grace they jumped, twisted and ran the capital, whilst providing a host of their own flair and colour to the mix and, with no lady-boys in site.
Directed by Berlin-based director Frank Sauer and his team in two weeks shooting every night, they battled the elements – suits working, run-ins with Thai police, lighting up scenarios on the go – let alone, an array of confused looks on peoples faces as they whizzed by to create a stunning film. Using a series of long exposure shots, Sauer has captured beautiful light stroke frames that are stunning additions to to the mix of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers and Christmas Tree street acrobatics.
