The polka dot loving Yayoi Kusama is enjoying the biggest love-in of her art since she bound onto the scene so many years ago in the 50s. It seems that her obsessive style of modernism has finally been seen for the brilliance that it is. Following high profile exhibitions across the globe, Kusama, who now at 83, sees her creative genius combine with fashion powerhouse, Louis Vuitton for a range of ready-to-wear designs showcased at Selfridges, London.

There are seven major store takeovers launching worldwide with a stunning display at Selfridges. The department store’s 24 Oxford Street windows have been taken over by stunning displays for the Kusama and Vuitton collaboration.

The Selfridges Concept Store is a living, breathing immersive art and fashion with Kusama’s patterns adorning nearly every available surface and huge star slash pumpkin pieces acting as the tables to showcase the stock. The collection features classic Louis Vuitton pieces like handbags, travel bags, shoes and accessories, all reinterpreted by Kusama.

Yayoi Kusama for Louis Vuitton Concept Store is on until 19 October at Selfridges, Oxford Street, London.
