Last year’s big noise indie band was Dog Is Dead; they had everyone clambering to see them, and in turn, sign them up to a major record deal after a gig at East London’s Vice Magazine-backed Old Blue Last venue. Now the five-piece are signed to Atlantic Records and are set to release their third single and a true favourite from the EP versions and live performances, ‘Glockenspiel Song’ on 23 July. The band have also announced the title of highly anticipated debut album, ‘All Our Favourite Stories’, which will be released this autumn.

The boys from Nottingham, Rob Milton (lead singer/guitar), Joss Van Wilder (keyboards), Trev (bass/sax man), Paul Roberts (guitar) and Daniel Harvey (drums), have been on one hell of a rise and 2012 is set to be one they will remember for a while (although a gig they did for me for Comic Relief last year, will surely be the big highlight).

Lead singer Rob commented on their third release, “Glockenspiel Song is our feel good track about our childhood and the place we grew up in. We always planned to re-release this in the lead up to releasing our debut album as while we were blown away by the reaction first time around we always wanted to rerecord it, make a proper video and get it out there to a wider audience – it’s a hell of a lot of fun to play and a big live favourite so Summer 2012 is the perfect time to get it out there.”
