Danish schoolboys football game turned into a major Uefa tie when a football flash mob make sure it is a game they will never forget. Days after the Champions League Final at Wembley, it is a brilliant stunt by Adidas and the UEFA Under 21 tournament in Denmark this month.
Schoolboys are stunned when fans, professional referees, TV cameras and even former Danish internationals turn up to their low-key game. The video on YouTube was uploaded by a group calling itself The Football Feeling. It shows an under-14 schoolboy match with barely a spectator in sight.
Suddenly a host of fans, a marching band, an announcer, professional referees and some Danish soccer stars appear, all seemingly without either team’s knowledge.
The viral video is for the forthcoming Uefa Under 21 tournament in Denmark which starts from June 11th with core sponsor Adidas. The tag-line of the film states “We’ll provide atmosphere”.
